In spring 2026, James worked as Director of Photography on ¿Qué te Dije?, a short film about a teenage immigrant who desperately wants to learn how to drive. In close collaboration with first-time director Isa Siguenza, James elected to shoot the film in a moody social realist style, highlighting the tense political themes surrounding the story. The production was completed in 5 days of shooting. Keep an eye out for its upcoming festival run!
